Speedy - 14-gun brig - Geoff Hunt

Famous for her action against the vastly superior Gamo under Lord Cochrane’s command, Speedy had an extremely active career in the Mediterranean. Much of this involved shore raids and boat work, as suggested in this scene. Patrick O'Brian based much of the story of Jack Aubrey's beloved Sophie on the exploits of Speedy.
