About Brian Collins

Brian Collins grew up on the Kent coast where the sea became his playground with boating, fishing, and crabbing. After a career in engineering he studied at the Thanet Art School.

He was always fascinated with the many moods of the sea and how the changing weather alters the colours from deep blues and greens to stormy yellow greys.

Brian travels extensively world-wide and in doing so he works on watercolours and sketching, and takes photos as the mood often changes in seconds. These form the ground to his finished paintings.
