Standard Frame
The standard recommended frame style for historical marine art on paper is in a plain, rounded, 40mm gold with black toning. The print is mounted in an off-white acid-free bevel-cut window mount (matt). We use 2mm float glass or perspex, hangers and cord.
Original watercolours
As an alternative to the frame above , we recommend a plain toned 45mm dome moulding.
Prints on Canvas
Limited edition prints on canvas are framed exactly as you would frame an original oil painting, i.e. stretched onto a wooden stretcher-frame, and put straighr into a wider 60mm gilt frame with a canvas slip:
