HMS Penguin - Roy Cross RSMA
A fine brig-sloop off the Mediterranean coast c.1804, armed with 16 guns and of 336 tons burthen. Originally the Dutch brig Komet, which was captured in 1795 by the 32-gun HMS Unicorn (5th rate) and renamed Penguin for Royal Navy service, was sold off in 1809.
