The Devitt & Moore emigrant ship at moorings...

An iron ship built by R. Steele & Co. Greenock in 1873. She was a favourite sailing to Adelaide until 1910, being both very comfortable and regular, if not the quickest. She was sold to Russian owners to become Grand Duchess Maria Nicolaevna, then back to British owners to become the training ship Silvana. She was broken up at Genoa in the 1920s.
