As the British line rolled gently towards the French and Spanish fleets on the morning of Trafalgar - they took six hours to get within range because of the light winds - "Temeraire" began to overtake Nelson's "Victory" which, naturally, was leading.
Nelson's reaction was predictable; 'I'll thank you, Captain Harvey, to take your proper station" he shouted to Temeraire's captain.
