Geoff Hunt writes:  The title is a very obscure quote from a Patrick O’Brian novel, which may delight some of his fans. A ‘snow' was the name of a sailing-ship rig;  I’m not sure why the plural of ‘sort’, but knowing Patrick, I’m sure this would have been an absolutely authentic eighteenth-century usage. She's off Cape Mola, (Spanish/Minorquan name) or Moll (English version, as in the novel).
