A Helping Hand - Jenny Morgan RSMA

Off the Western Approaches, one of the notable Bristol Channel pilot-cutters has been seeking and and come up with an inbound topsail schooner.  Shortly the cutter will put her pilot aboard the coastal trader to guide her past the Bristol Channel's treacherous shoals with its strong tides, much-needed assistance in the thick weather.  The cutter is the once well-known "Kindly Light"

The painting captures the early morning atmosphere with the promise of the fog clearing later as the sun rises higher.
