Sangarius II - Donald Hamilton Fraser R.A.

The Sangarios was the major river of Central Phrygia, rising in the Phrygian highlands it flowed through the Anatolian highlands, and down through central Bithynia where it issued into the Black Sea. The most important neighboring rivers were the Askanios to the west, Phyllis to the north, and Nymphaios in the east.
