One of the most famous names in the Royal Navy, associated with both the epic action alongside H.M.S. Victory at Trafalgar and with Turner's famous painting, Temeraire was launched at Chatham in 1798. In contrast to her later career, her first day under sail, seen here, was calm and peaceful.
